Explore the DDCR on a nature safari and look out for wildlife on an informative morning drive through the desert, with an adventure expert who has great local knowledge of the indigenous plants and animals. Learn about conservation and sustainability efforts with a chance to assist by recording your wildlife sightings for use by the reserve. Drive past the lake in the DDCR and keep your camera handy.
Night Safari in Dubai
For a different perspective, take a night drive through the DDCR to see the nocturnal animals of the desert. Using a spot-light, our adventure experts look out for wildlife like the desert fox and Arabian onyx. The excitement starts as you have the opportunity to track scorpions under the supervision of your guide using UV-lights that cause the scorpion’s shell to glow in the dark. This is completely safe for the animal – and for the visitor! End the evening with time to stargaze through our powerful telescope at the Arabian night sky while enjoying a beverage.
Camel Trekking
Go camel riding in Dubai on your visit to the UAE. See the flora and fauna of the DDCR while taking a traditional camel ride across the dunes. On this trail-style guided ride on fully-grown dromedary camels, see the desert from a new vantage point.
