The Eid Al Adha holiday is expected to start on Thursday, 30st July and end on Sunday, 2nd August making it a long weekend across the UAE. It’s the ideal time to take advantage of the summer special offers and enjoy the many activities available. Our adventure experts shared their insights on the best things to do during your time off.
Sunrise in the desert
Enjoy a relaxing start to the weekend as you watch the sunrise over the desert dunes in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR). The DDCR is the UAE’s first national park and home to Arabian Oryx, sand gazelles, local bird life and more. Take advantage of the cooler temperatures in the early morning with a walk around the campsite, bring your yoga mat or just relax and enjoy the view. This Dubai desert safari includes a picnic breakfast with tea, coffee and bubbles.
Evening Safari
The adventure starts at around 3pm and takes you to the DDCR on the outskirts of Dubai. After an exciting dune drive, stop to watch the sunset then continue on to our traditional-style camp that has all of the modern comforts. This is where the fun really starts! Try a camel ride, go sandboarding and get henna hand-painting. Relax and enjoy a three course BBQ dinner as you watch the belly dancer, fire dancer and Tanoura dancer. For your comfort, you can choose a private 4-wheel drive car for a family of up to five, or choose the shared car option, for up to two (according to current city guidelines). At the time of booking, select your beverage package where you choose soft drinks or adult beverages.
Luxury pool and sundowners day-cation
Our safari guide will collect you around 2:30pm. Arrive at the luxurious Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort and Spa, Dubai and relax at the pool with views of the desert and a healthy smoothie. Next, set out into the DDCR with our safari guide and stop for sundowners in the desert dunes. A choice of sundowners are available, select your option at the time of booking. An ideal end to the weekend.
